Candidate of Science (Engineering) (1993), senior research assistant (1996), Doctor of Science (Engineering) (2006).

Since 2003 - the executive director of the B. E. Vedeneev VNIIG.

Member of the International Energy Academy.

Member of the Presidium of the National Committee on Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering.

Member of the Russian National Committee on Large Dams.

He took an active part in organization and holding of a number of Russian and international meetings. He was awarded Certificates of merit of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Russia (1992,1995,1996), a Certificate of merit of the HydroOGC (2006), the title of "Honoured power engineer of Russia" (2002).
