Key Partners

Key partners of RusHydro are the largest global generating and engineering companies, as well as manufacturers of power equipment, including Mitsui, KOMAIHALTEC, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Sojitz, General Electric, Voith Hydro, Power China, etc.


RusHydro explores the opportunities for joint implementation of the projects of HPP and PSHPP, wind and geothermal power facilities development, as well as production of liquified hydrogen in cooperation with Japanese companies Mitsui, KOMAIHALTEC, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Sojitz. The Company continues cooperation with Voith Hydro on equipment manufacturing localization, as well as joint modernization of RusHydro’s hydroelectric power plants. RusHydro interacts with the energy companies and manufactures of power equipment from Japan, China and USA within the modernization of thermal power plants of RusHydro in the Far East of Russia.


In 2016, RusHydro’s research & design organizations have successfully fulfilled the design services contracts at the facilities in Turkey and Vietnam, as a part of promotion RusHydro’s expertise in hydropower and RES on the foreign markets. In addition, a series of engineering service contracts and agreements was signed with foreign partners in 2016 to support implementation of energy projects, including those in Tajikistan and India.


Participation in Intergovernmental Interaction

Participation in Intergovernmental Commissions for trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign countries with further establishment of business contacts with foreign business partners is one of the core mechanisms for international cooperation development for RusHydro.


Cooperation with International Organisations

As a member RusHydro takes part in the committees and working groups of a number
of non-commercial partnerships and international organisations, including the World Energy Council, Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP), International Hydropower Association (IHA), International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD), Russian-Chinese Business Council.


The Company develops cooperation with the international governmental and public organisations and integration associations, including the Eurasian Economic Union in terms of cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Commission, the CIS Electric Power Council, Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, etc.


Participation in Major International Forums / Exhibitions / Conferences

RusHydro is an active participant of the major international forums, exhibitions and conferences addressing the issues of thermal power, hydropower and RES.


In 2015 and 2016, RusHydro was one of the major sponsors and participants of the Eastern Economic Forum – recognized international event for establishing and strengthening the cooperation with the foreign partners from the Asia-Pacific Region and for attracting investors to develop energy infrastructure in the Far East of Russia. Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum is a traditional platform for RusHydro’s participation also.


Foreign Assets

RusHydro owns the Cascade of HPPs on Hrazdan River in Armenia through its subsidiary International Energy Corporation CJSC.
