RusHydro inaugurates gas-fired peaking boiler plant at Yakutskaya GRES
November 28, 2019 Yakutsk, Russia. PJSC RusHydro (ticker symbol: MOEX, LSE: HYDR; OTCQX: RSHYY) announces commissioning of 300 GCal gas-fired peaking boiler plant at Yakutskaya GRES.
The new facility located at Yakutskaya GRES site, in the center of the city’s heat distribution system, will increase the reliability of heat supply in the capital of Yakutia. The plant’s additional capacity will complement Yakutskaya GRES-2 launched in 2017 in light of phasing out the heat capacities of the old Yakutskaya GRES.
The new gas-fired peaking boiler plant complies with the latest technical requirements and environmental standards. It is equipped with three locally manufactured KVGM-100 boilers and state-of-the-art automated control system. The facility currently operates alongside with Yakutskaya GRES, which will be gradually phased out following commissioning of the second phase of Yakutskaya GRES-2.
