RusHydro and Voith Hydro Agree to Cooperate in Modernization of Hydraulic Turbines of Miatlinskaya HPP in Dagestan

JSC RusHydro (ticker symbol: RTS, MICEX, LSE: HYDR; OTCQX: RSHYY) announces the agreement with Voith Hydro, which will supply rotor wheels for modernization of hydro turbines of Miatlinskaya hydropower plant in 2013-2014.

Miatlinskaya hydropower plant is a part of Dagestan branch of RusHydro. It's installed capacity is 220 MW. The modernization of the turbines will increase reliability and efficiency of the plant.

The agreement is a logical step in continuing cooperation between RusHydro and Voith Hydro. In June 2011, during St. Petersburg Economic Forum, RusHydro and Voith Hydro signed the cooperation agreements, including the document that lays the groundwork for cooperation in hydropower engineering with supply of energy equipment for Miatlinskaya as one of the priority joint projects.
