RusHydro included in the list of top 50 green utilities of the world
November 23, 2018. Moscow, Russia. PJSC RusHydro (ticker symbol: MOEX, LSE: HYDR; OTCQX: RSHYY) announces its inclusion in the list of top-50 green utilities in Energy Intelligence rating. The rating covers the world’s largest 100 utility companies. RusHydro is among five Russian companies present in the rating.
The rating is based on a number of factors where CO2 per MWh emitted and the ratio of renewable capacity in relation to total installed capacity are the main criteria in determining the company’s rank.
For over 60 years, Energy Intelligence has been specializing in providing unbiased and reliable information by publishing bulletins and analytical reports on oil, gas and energy resource markets. The company’s offices are located in New York, Washington, London, Houston, Dubai, Moscow, Singapore and Brussels.
RusHydro is developing various kinds of renewable energy sources. In the Northern Caucasus, the Company is building five small hydropower plants: Ust’-Dzhegutinskaya, Verkhnebalkarskaya, Barsuchkovskaya, Krasnogorskaya SHPP and SHPP-2.
The Group is operating 19 solar power plants with combined capacity of 1.6 MW in Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and four wind power plants with combined capacity of 2.4 MW in Kamchatka, Sakhalin and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region.
In November 2018, the company inaugurated a unique 900 KW wind power farm in township Tiksi of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic. The wind units, manufactured by Japanese company Komaihaltek, are engineered to function in harsh Arctic conditions and can withstand extreme cold temperatures up to – 50 ºC and winds up to 70 meters per second.
In the current year, RusHydro will begin construction of a 3 MW diesel power plant equipped with three generators and storage system. Upon its completion, the WPP, diesel power plant and storage system will be integrated into a single power complex.
