Results of the Board of Directors meeting on October 29, 2021
October 29, 2021. Moscow, Russia. PJSC RusHydro (ticker symbol: MOEX, LSE: HYDR; OTCQX: RSHYY) announces that the Company's Board of Directors held a meeting on October 29, 2021.
The Board of Directors took into consideration the program on service quality growth for electricity and heat consumers with implementation of digital technology and artificial intelligence.
A unique Ecosystem with state-of-the-art local technologies and artificial intelligence will be in place 2025 following digitalization of RusHydro’s retail business. Such process will enhance customer service. Local offices will employ new technological devices including robot office managers and video consultants. A single customer service platform will be in place as well. The Company’s new ecosystem provides for installation of new reporting system as well as over one million electronic meters by 2025.
The Program complies with the Russian Federation’s National Project Digital economy, government’s program Affordable environment as well as federal laws.
The Board of Directors took into consideration the information on implementation of alternative boiler model in the Far Eastern Federal District.
The region’s heat networks are worn, inefficient and incur high losses. In order to improve the quality of heat supply in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District, RusHydro plans to implement and alternative boiler model which allows to modernize the existing networks, shut down inefficient ones and reduce heat losses.
In the next ten years, RUB 5 bn will be invested in the alternative boiler model. Pilot projects are in the pipeline in Blagoveshenck, Progress and Chigiri in the Amur region. The Company is currently assessing the opportunity to implement the model in Birobidzhan. Following commissioning of a single heat network facility, such project will take place in Yakutia. Finally, research is under way to implement the model in Vladivostok. RusHydro and the Government of the Primorskiy krai have signed the cooperation agreement under which the alternative boiler’s feasibility will be assessed during the Eastern Economic Forum in 2021.
