Since 2016, new power facilities with a total capacity of more than 1100 MW have been put into operation here, including the Vostochnaya CHPP, the Sovetskaya Gavan CHPP, the Sakhalin GRES-2, the first stage of the Yakutsk GRES-2, the second stage of the Blagoveshchenskaya CHPP, the Nizhne-Bureyskaya HPP.
Ust-Srednekanskaya HPP with a capacity of 570 MW is under construction in the Magadan region. It is planned to build three modern thermal power plants, as well as the expansion and modernization of three more stations.
In addition, RusHydro is systematically implementing projects for the development of local energy using renewable energy sources in the decentralized energy supply sector in the Far East.
