RusHydro allocates considerable funds to support statutory activities of charitable foundations and non-profit organizations, which help seriously ill children and adults.
Financial support is provided to:
- The charity Foundation "Old Age is Joy" - assistance is provided to improve the lives of the older persons in boarding institutions and to reduce the emotional vacuum in which they find themselves after entering nursing homes.
- The Vera Hospice Care Foundation helps not only to equip hospices and palliative care units in Russian hospitals with modern equipment and create comfort and beauty in them, but also to provide a full system of care for terminally ill children and adults.
- The "Live Now" charity fund for people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and other neuromuscular diseases - finances the purchase of breathing devices, medicines, and payments to nurses.
- The Russian Children's Fund - charitable aid to low-income graduates of orphanages, disabled children, one-time payments to orphaned students, aid for treatment and rehabilitation of seriously ill children, and support for children's treatment and rehabilitation institutions.
- The Regional Charitable Public Fund "Illustrated Books for Little Blind Children" finances the creation and production of unique tactile books understandable for children with vision disorders. The books created by the fund are donated to blind and visually impaired children in all regions where RusHydro enterprises are present.
- Sozidaniye charitable foundation – the main activity of the foundation is aimed at social rehabilitation of orphans and children left without parental care, material support to citizens in a difficult life situation.
In addition, targeted assistance is provided to veteran power engineers and honored industry workers to purchase medicines, pay for rehabilitation courses and buy household appliances.
Every year on the Great Victory Day, Power Engineer Day, New Year and other holidays RusHydro organizes festive events and presents gifts.
