Activities of Social Institutions

RusHydro traditional types of assistance include financial support of social institutions.

Power engineers pay special attention to children deprived of parental care and disabled children. Orphanages, social shelters and rehabilitation centers receive annual support.

Charitable assistance of RusHydro is used to upgrade the material and technical base of institutions, equip playgrounds for children with disabilities, purchase special developmental equipment and pay for rehabilitation courses. In addition the company finances activities aimed at social adaptation of orphanage graduates in new social conditions. Regular excursions to RusHydro enterprises and career guidance classes are held for children from social centers.

Every year on the eve of the new school year within the framework of the "Help to Get Ready for School" RusHydro buys backpacks, school kits, sports equipment and other necessary school accessories for children from social institutions. On the eve of New Year holidays RusHydro volunteers hold festive events with funny performances and give presents to children in the framework of the "Brightest Christmas Tree" actions.
