The program of charitable assistance of RusHydro includes a number of activities to support medical institutions in the regions of presence of the company.

“Born by Energy” is a federal annual charity program aimed at equipment of maternity hospitals, perinatal centers and maternity departments of hospitals with modern diagnostic and rehabilitation equipment in the cities where the company's enterprises are located. Implementation of the program contributes to improvement of reliability of examinations and effectiveness of treatment procedures. The purchased equipment is intended both for nursing of newborns and for more precise and timely diagnostics of pathologies of pregnant women. All devices and equipment are purchased in strict accordance with the needs of medical institutions.

The equipment is presented annually on the eve of professional holiday of RusHydro, Power Engineer Day.

Over the years of the project implementation 53 medical institutions in 23 regions of Russia have received assistance. Thousands of babies were born in maternity hospitals – participants of the “Born by Energy” program.

Every year RusHydro also renders financial assistance in purchasing of medical equipment and making of repairs to oncology centers, blood transfusion departments, dispensaries, hospitals and other medical institutions in the regions of its presence.

In addition RusHydro annually supports foundations and non-profit organizations that help seriously ill children and adults – the company finances projects to purchase drugs, medical equipment and consumables.
